The south east extremity of the United States is one of the favorite holiday destinations. People who enjoy sunbathing on the beach or who actually prefer to actively discover the inland will be delighted. Do not choose, go for the two options! While touring Florida, you will be able to escape in the hinterland and greatly enjoy the subtropical climate of the coast. It is recommended spending two weeks at least there. You will see that there are plenty of different activities to do.You will start your trip in Orlando where the international airport is located. Opt for a car rental and drive on your holiday’s road in complete serenity. You will not be bored in Orlando. Like no other, the city offers numerous theme and fun parks such as not least than seven Disney parks, Sea World and Universal Studios Florida. The roller-coaster and the animals’ shows will invite you to experience unforgettable moments. Daytona Beach is then the ideal destination to rest after all the emotions felt in Orlando. 50 miles north of Orlando, the small coastal city is famous for having organized the first car racing on the sand. Today, it is possible to drive on the beach, mostly used by motorbikes. If you keep on a little bit more towards the south, you will reach one of the most beautiful beaches in Florida. About 25 miles long, the Canaveral beach is located besides the Kennedy Space Centre, the NASA space launching base: You can have a bus sightseeing tour of the centre and admire the space shuttles a little bit closer. You will arrive in Palm Beach, a highly praised destination of international stars. Via route 95, you will also reach Fort Lauderdale which is as fancy as Palm Beach but a much more family oriented site. Keep on driving towards Miami where you will have the opportunity to walk on Ocean Drive or do some shopping on Bayside Marketplace, the animated place with the oriental charisma. 55 miles south of Miami, there is the national park of Biscayne. This magnificent park of some 600 yards area will tempt you to dive into its clear waters. You will have the chance to admire a wide range of colorful fishes and gigantic coral reef. From Miami, take the Overseas Highway towards the tropical archipelago of the Keys. You will go over twenty-two bridges before reaching with your rental car the furthest of the Keys. On almost all the islands, you will be able to go diving or enjoy a cruise on a see through floor boat and therefore enjoy the marine fauna. A lot of high sea fishing journeys are offered on the Islamorada harbor. You may catch some tuna or other fishes. At the edge of the Highway, there is Key West which will offer you the most beautiful sunset of the archipelago: Key West is also the island where the nightlife is the most intense. On your way back, towards the west coast, you will discover the Everglades with its rare birds species and the alligators that populate the mangrove swamp. You will admire this fascinating region accompanied by a guide in a motor boat. Moreover, the fine sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico are absolutely gorgeous! The little ones and grown-ups will have the opportunity to visit in Naples the teddy bears museum. Fort Myers and its archipelago will seduce visitors. You will walk in the splendid botanical garden of the inventor Edison. In the Tampa bay, there is the tourist city of Tampa with its Spanish flair, its Cuban cigars and its theme park with the African atmosphere Safari Park. At the bay entrance, there is the American city of St Petersburg. The art lovers with be delighted by its Salvador Dali Museum. 180 miles, south via route 75, you will then reach Tallahassee, the state capital of Florida. With its numerous green parks, the city invites to relaxing time. Finally do not forget to make a detour via Panama City where you will embark for the Shell islands. You will find beautiful shells on the fine sand beaches. Your journey in Florida will end in beauty in Pensacola: coconut trees, turquoise sea, fine sand and sunset will remain in your mind for always!
