A beautiful fine sand beach on the Californian coast

Anaheim, situated some thirty seven miles southeast of Los Angeles, is one of the most traditional cities in Orange County. Anaheim owes its name to the oranges plantations which used to stand there for the last centuries.

The name of this city is of German origin. Anaheim was founded in 1870 by the German settlers who came from Rothenburg-ob-der-Tauber in Germany. They named their town “Anaheim” with “Ana” referring to Santa Ana River and “heim” which means “home” in German language leaving no doubts about the city’s origins.
Like most Californian cities, Anaheim which has 340,000 inhabitants is a very popular destination. In addition to an enjoyable climate, Anaheim brings on one of the most famous theme parks in the world: Disneyland. The park, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2005, welcomes all of Mickey Mouse and Disney heroes’ fans. Disneyland is a must-see on your journey!
