Few other countries in the world present as many natural wonders as Canada, Uncle Sam’s northern neighbor. The pictures painted whilst driving through these vast landscapes are manifold: after an hour-long ride through shadowy, green forests you will suddenly be blinded by glistening sunlight across a crystal-clear lake spanning from the tip of your toes all the way to the distant horizon. Maybe you’ll catch a glimpse of a rainbow across the mighty Niagara Falls as they crash noisily downwards.Canada is no doubt the perfect holiday destination for outdoor fans who appreciate the wondrous variety of nature that provides such spectacular moments as watching a bear family snooze on the sunny shore of a wild mountain stream. Anyone wanting to escape the hectic hustle and bustle of modern life will find refuge in the unspoilt lands in the north. Anglers and canoeists especially rave about the large lakes full of fish. If you are no friend of the forest you can always stick to the Prairie Provinces and sample some authentic cowboy life. Don’t think that you should avoid Canada if you’re not the outdoor-loving kind. If you’d like to be among crowds again and have a double caramel latte with extra foam to go, put aside the lumberjack shirt and hiking boots and check into a city. Quebec, Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, and Montreal pulsate with vibrant excitement and urbane culture in stark contrast to the loneliness of the surrounding countryside. |
