Ireland’s largest city and capital is amongst one of the world’s top 25 cities and ranks in the top 10 of the Global Financial Centers Index.

Home of many famous literary figures such as William Butler Yeats, Samuel Beckett and George Bernard, Dublin is Ireland’s cultural and historical epicenter.

Trinity College is located in the heart of Dublin which makes the city a desirable destination for young travelers and international students.  Since Dublin is such a youthful city, the night life downtown is something that should not be missed.  The internationally renowned Temple Bar is a major hotspot, yet is often filled with many tourists.  For that reason it is suggested that you head to one of the other many pubs and bars in the area around the Liffey.

If in the mood for shopping then you should walk down Grafton Street where no cars are allowed and where the street is packed with retail stores of all sorts. At the top of this street you can pay a visit to Saint Stephen’s Park where you can relax in the beautiful gardens and enjoy the peaceful waterfalls.

While walking downtown you can’t go without missing the 300 foot tall Spire.  This massive metallic structure was erected for the new millennium to show Dublin’s modernity.  This monument can be seen while heading to one of Dublin’s two most well known tourist attractions; the Guinness Factory and the Jameson Distillery.  At both of these factories you can see how these Irish classics are brewed, distilled and distributed with a special surprise at the end of each tour.

For those looking to experience a little more history and culture need to absolutely visit the Book of Kells located right near Trinity College or the National gallery where you can see great works from famous artist like Picasso, Monet and Yeats.
